Bucharest – Financial Controller

Blue Projects is currently looking for a results-driven and confident Financial Controller to manage and improve our organization’s financial performance. Duties for the financial controller will include evaluating and managing risk, ensuring compliance with regulations, preparing and publishing financial statements, analyzing financial data, monitoring expenditure, forecasting revenue, , and ensuring accuracy of financial information.

The position will be also a core resource within the SAP financial module project implementation, ensuring customization, data import validity and roll-out performance.

Scope of the position: financial controlling &budgeting aspects related to all the entities existing globally within Blue Projects



  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Proven work experience in financial controlling, reporting or a related field.
  • Understanding of applicable laws and regulations.
  • Understanding of financial data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to deliver quality work on tight deadlines, with strong organization and priority setting skills.
  • Proven experience in financial project management.
  • Proven experience in working with SAP financial module.
  • Advanced computer skills, specifically in Excel.
  • Must be able to communicate financial information into sound business language so people of all levels can understand.
  • Deep understanding of finance including IFRS accounting standards.
  • Excellent written and spoken English


Job responsibilities:

  • Preparation of group monthly consolidated management accounts.
  • Performing standard monthly reconciliations comparing actual results against budgets and forecasts
  • Conducting reconciliations of the group in terms of balance sheet, P&L, costs, income, and accounts, thus ensuring integrity of the groups balance sheet.
  • Creating budgets and forecasts, including balance sheet and cashflow forecasts.
  • Establishing and maintaining financial controls with the accounting department including reconciliation to local statutory accounts
  • Preparing and presenting financial reports and risk analysis.
  • Guiding financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Providing support to management, particularly in commercial and financial matters.
  • Create reports that help senior leadership understand company financials.
  • Being responsible for the company general ledger.
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Manage and comply with local, and global reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Directly involved within the process of SAP financial module implementation, being one of the core resources within this strategic initiative
