We’re hiring a self-motivated Process Automation Engineer in our Cluj-Napoca Office. The successful candidate will work directly with clients, vendors and Lead Engineers to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. He or she will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible. We are looking for a creative and dedicated individual who will fit with our collaborative culture.
Responsibilities:
Reviewing the project specifications to define optimal solution for process control requirements
Create and define instrument list, IO list, safety matrix
Propose technical solutions for integrated control systems, industrial network architecture and layout, interfaces between process industrial equipment and DCS/Central Control Room
Understand client requirements for process control and automation, Graphical User Interface/communication interface, networking and create specifications based on these requirements
Investigate customer requirements and recommend options and optimal technical solutions for implementation
Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software to perform design engineering tasks
Produce technical as built drawings
Preparing project documentation
Compile data and write reports on existing and potential engineering studies and projects
Conducting site surveys to identify process control system optimization
Estimating project costs and time frames
Ensure conformity of electrical equipment, systems and installation to process specific rules (e.g. Food Safety, ATEX Directive)
Ensure all project deliverables are met within client requirement and according to design and specifications
Liaise with contractors on installation schedule, adjust and communicate milestone dates, close follow-up and oversight – Propose technical solutions for installation problems, discuss in meetings and obtain approvals from the client on implementation, liaise with the client on resolving contractual problems
Permanent follow-up on project site installation, progress tracking and reporting to the client
Ensure budget and on-time delivery of process automation systems and subsystems by keeping close relationship with contractors, organizing meetings with vendors for clarifying interfaces, installations problems, progress tracking, resource allocation and administration
Commissioning projects, designing and conducting tests, qualifying the final system
Recording, analyzing and interpreting test data.
Proposing modifications and retesting systems.
Providing support in troubleshooting of manufacturing processing, packaging and material handling equipment.
Developing and implementing individual improvement projects, to improve performance, quality or cost effectiveness
Liaising with the internal design team / third parties design teams
Requirements:
Advanced Diploma of Engineering or equivalent (Automation/Robotics / Electrical preferred)
