To support the successful implementation of a new Beads process (packing/making), including a warehouse expansion and utilities implementation, we are seeking an experienced HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) Specialist to join our team. This role is vital for ensuring the safety of the workforce, compliance with safety regulations, and the effective management of environmental aspects throughout the construction phase.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the project complies with local and national health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting regular site inspections to identify hazards and enforce corrective measures as needed.
• Build up, apply, and continuously monitor HSE plans and policies to ensure the safety and well-being of all personnel involved in the project.
• Carry out risk assessments and safety audits to pinpoint potential risks, safeguarding the health of workers, the integrity of equipment, and the environment.
• Provide ongoing safety training to staff, subcontractors, and visitors, ensuring they are well-versed in HSE protocols and emergency procedures.
• Oversee environmental performance, ensuring the project adheres to environmental guidelines and minimizes negative ecological impacts.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, prepare comprehensive reports, and ensure the implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

• Partner with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure HSE best practices are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an HSE Specialist in construction or industrial projects.
• Extensive knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster a safety-conscious environment across all levels of the workforce.
• Strong risk assessment skills and the ability to implement effective safety solutions.
• NEBOSH or similar HSE certification is highly desirable.
• A bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred.
