Overview

Expo Business Park is an office complex comprising 3 buildings with an underground parking area of approximately 70,500 GBA. The development is located on Expozitiei Boulevard, an up-and-coming business hub in NW Bucharest, with office and residential buildings, hotels, parks and sports facilities. The entire boulevard will be widened in the near future and go through extensive landscaping.

The 3 buildings are designed to achieve the BREEAM Excellent certification level, with low water and energy consumption and low energy LED lighting solutions.

The materials used in construction have a minimum environmental impact, such as the highly efficient curtain and modular walling on the external elevations. The curtain walling is double glazed with dual seal construction and the outer pane is manufactured to repeal solar gains.

Due to an intelligent ventilation system – independent air handling units and back-up generators – the buildings’ carbon dioxide emissions and running costs for the entire cooling system will be significantly below market norms.

High efficiency LED lights are installed in the office space and parking area, with motion detection control used in temporarily occupied areas such as parking, staircases and toilets.

The environmental services and associated back-up systems in Expo Business Park are controlled by a fully automated intelligent Building Management System (BMS).
