PepsiCo is an American company in the soft drinks and food industry, founded in 1898 under the name Pepsi-Cola. The company PepsiCo was founded in 1965 through the merger of Pepsi–Cola with Frito-Lay . The company Tropicana was purchased in 1998 and in 2001 , PepsiCo merged with The Quaker Oats Company.

In Romania the company owns a factory located in Dragomirești , in Ilfov County, this being the largest production unit owned by Pepsi in Europe.
