Blue Projects was contracted by home improvement and gardening retailer Leroy Merlin to provide design services for their newest store in Romania. The development occupies 4 ha on the outskirts of Targoviste, with the store itself having a total surface of 9,000 m2.

Between January 2019 and February 2020 our team provided the following design services: PUZ (detailed urban planning documentation that ensures the development follows the provisions of the general urban plan), concept design, DTAC (technical documentation required to obtain the building permit), technical project, and DDE (drawing details). The design includes a drive-in sales area and more than 300 parking spaces.

Started as a family business in 1923, Leroy Merlin currently has more than 290 stores in 12 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America. Their first store in Romania was opened in 2011, with 17 others opened since then.
